David Firestone…who I am and what I do

This is my personal blog, and I will post three types of things here.  The first is one of my pet projects, The Driver Suit Blog.  Driver suits are one of my passions in life, and The Driver Suit Blog was started to inform the public on the various aspects of these suits to inform fans and collectors alike.  I will also feature other racing collectibles as well as other driver uniform items.  As all of these memorabilia items are dependent on the paint schemes of the cars, I will grade the paint schemes used in a racing season.  I will grade all of the paint schemes based on two things, car design and color scheme.  I like simpler paint schemes, with classic color schemes, but I will take each scheme on a case by case basis.  I’m also grading the car, not the driver, so I give good grades to drivers I hate, and bad grades to drivers that I like.

The second thing I will use this blog for is DGF2099 Productions, which is what I use for my videos.  The major project for this channel is Introduction to Sports Memorabilia, which highlights my love for baseball cards, sports uniforms, and other interesting things.  I will also post videos of lightning, and events that I frequent.

The third thing I will use this post for is blogs for things not fitting in the other two categories.  This will include sports items, and various gripes I have about things.  This blog will NEVER be used for political issues, or blogs related to news items.  If I post something political, it will be an autograph, or a pen used by a President or Governor.  When it comes to politics, I don’t want to say it, and you don’t want to hear it.

  1. I have a question about the Brad Noffsinger Helmet you have posted on your site. Do you have that helmet? Thank you, Jamie

  2. Hello David – In searching for a good helmet to incorporate my Oculus VR into, I came across one of these “Sports Cover Up” helmets on eBay. I think I paid like $11 for it and found that if I removed the bottom and glued some Egg Crate Foam into it, slid my Oculus into it, I had the racing helmet that I was looking for… Below is a link to my You Tube video of the helmet in action. It was the cheapest part of my setup but definitely completes the decor. Your website is just about the only information I could find on these helmets and they are awesome… Mike

  3. Hello David,

I also sent a message on IG in hopes to reach you. I noticed you have a beautiful Wally that Darrell Gwynn used to own. Darrell is one of my dearest friends. I’m hoping that you will consider selling the Wally to me. It would mean a lot to me. Thanks Tom
