By David G. Firestone

Ross Chastain #1 Worldwide Express Chevy Camaro-It’s much too over designed, and the shades of blue don’t work. F

Ross Chastain #1 Pitbull Tour Chevy Camaro-I love the color scheme, but I hate the design scheme, so this gets a C.

Kyle Larson #5 Hendrickcars.com Throwback Chevy Camaro-Another great throwback that could win Throwback of the Year. This is a great and classic look. A

Aric Almirola #10 Smithfield/Weis Ford Mustang-The new designs take the A- scheme down to a B+ because they are a bit overdone.

Denny Hamlin #11 FedEx Small Business Toyota Camry-I think the blue is a tad over done, but otherwise, this is a great scheme. A-

Ryan Blaney #12 Menard’s/Jack Links Beef Jerky Ford Mustang-Same scheme as last year, same A grade.

Ryan Preece #15 United Rentals Ford Mustang-The black isn’t needed here, and the stripe is a bit over done. It’s not terrible, so I give it a B.

Daniel Hemric #16 Majestic Steel Chevy Camaro-Get rid of the red on the front, and this is a solid A scheme. With the silver, this gets an A-.

Todd Gilliland #38 The Pete Store Ford Mustang-Same scheme as last year, same C grade.

Cole Custer #41 Autodesk/HaasTooling.com Ford Mustang-It’s a smooth look, with a great color scheme, and that will always earn an A.

Kurt Busch #45 McDonald’s Throwback Toyota Camry-Yes! Yes! A Thousand Times Yes! You have no idea how long I’ve been wanting to see this throwback! Unless something better comes along, this will probably win Throwback of the Year! A

BJ McLeod #78 Superior Logistics Ford Mustang-It’s a smooth look, with a great color scheme, and that will always earn an A.

I'm just a normal guy who collects race-worn driver suits, helmets, sheet metal, and other race-worn items. I will use this blog to help collectors, and race fans alike understand the various aspects of driver suits and helmets, and commentate on paint schemes.
